Structural investigation of cracking in bricks lintels above windows and doors these support the brickwork above. In older buildings they may not be present or double glazed windows are installed without the correct support.
Ground movement, such as subsidence and heave
Structural calculations and alterations, removal of a chimney or walls.
Cavity walls ties used in properties built before the early 1980s and some after that, were prone to corrosion which, can lead to structural movement.
Non- Intrusive Investigation
Visual inspection of the structural issues and Structural Report, recommendations and estimated costs.
Intrusive Investigation
As above but involves opening up of the building, removing plaster, bricks and/or drilling small holes to inspect.

Non-Intrusive Investigation
The Report provides information on the visible condition of the property in relation to damp issues and timber defects, which are observed during the inspection. Areas are examined for defects that are accessible and visible at the time of the inspection.
Analysis of air humidity, temperature, and moisture levels.
Intrusive Investigation
As above but, this is a more detailed investigation that uses 'invasive' techniques to establish the extent of dampness and decay. For example, we may have to lift carpets and floorboards, take off skirting boards and in some cases, form openings in parts of your property, to determine the extent of dampness or decay, and provide a more detailed examination including testing of samples.
